Investors also appeared to be monitoring developments related to the upcoming NATO summit in Ankara. Meanwhile, Japan’s Nikkei 225 index fell 5.61% by 4:26 a.m. Central European Time. At the same time, China’s stock exchange indexes were negative; the Shanghai Composite index fell 0.85% and the Shenzhen Composite index fell 1.02%. In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng index fell 1.33%, while the dollar also fell 0.11% against the Japanese yen, reaching 161.9025 yen. By 4:27 a.m. Central European Time, South Korea’s KOSPI index was up 0.29%, while Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 index remained nearly unchanged.
