The newsletter of Khajeh Nasir University of Technology announced that the ruling on three students of this university—who had previously been suspended from studying by the initial disciplinary committee—was upheld exactly by the appeal committee, with an order from the university president. Alireza Jafari Asar, a student of physics, Mohammad Seyyed Aboudi, a student of electrical engineering, and Hossein Mohammadi, a student of mathematics, were each sentenced to two terms of suspension from studying. According to the report of the Khajeh Nasir University newsletter, these stringent rulings were issued in the wake of union and student activities and, if no appeal is filed to the Ministry of Science, are enforceable.
