US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth warned that if Iran’s attacks on American ships continue, Iran’s oil tankers will be targeted.

Hegseth, on 14 Shahrivar 1405, wrote on the X social network by reposting a statement from the U.S. Central Command, CENTCOM: “The matter is simple; if Iran fires at American ships, we will destroy and sink their tankers.”

He also described Iran’s tanker fleet as “defenseless” and said Iran does not have a navy or an air force, and that American aircraft, ships, and submarines can target Iran’s tankers in areas covered by CENTCOM and the Indo-Pacific Command.
