The UK Maritime Trade Operations Organization said a vessel in the waters of Oman caught fire.

Based on a warning from the agency, a report of the incident was received on Sunday night by military authorities, and the cause of the fire has not been confirmed yet. The agency advised ships to transit with caution and to report any suspicious activity.

The incident location was announced as the northernmost point of the Musandam Peninsula in Oman, at the mouth of the Strait of Hormuz.
