The U.S. Southern Command said that forces of the “Western Hemisphere Joint Task Force” on Saturday tracked down and destroyed a multi-ship floating refueling station in the eastern Pacific Ocean that was operating in support of maritime trafficking of illicit drugs associated with the “Los Choneros” group in Ecuador.

The crews of these vessels were handed over to Ecuadorian authorities before the primary vessel sank and the support boats attached to it were destroyed by U.S. forces.
