🔶 Trump: I will run in the next U.S. presidential election

Donald Trump, the U.S. president, announced on Friday evening, 2 Mordad (24 July), at the annual White House Correspondents’ Association dinner that he intends to run for president again. Although the remarks were made in a joking tone, speculation about his effort to stay in power increased once again.

Trump told reporters that he plans to enter the presidential race for the fourth time as a candidate and to seek a third term in the White House.

In the closing part of his one-hour speech, he said: “I’m happy to make my intention known, and this is somewhat an exclusive; I intend to run for president of the United States for the fourth time.”

After making these remarks, Trump brought out a red hat with the words “Trump 2028” on it and put it on. This act drew even more attention from those present to the possibility of his candidacy in the next election.
