🔶 Threat to Iran of “an attack on Tel Aviv” if Trump’s threats are carried out
The American outlet The New York Times, citing two Iranian officials, reported that if tensions escalate between the United States and the Islamic Republic, the next phase of Iran’s attacks would also include Tel Aviv.
The two officials told The New York Times that if Donald Trump, the U.S. president, carries out his threats and targets Tehran as well as Iran’s infrastructure, the Islamic Republic would respond with an attack on Tel Aviv and would also ask the Houthis in Yemen to carry out a maritime blockade of the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.
In the first round of the war against the Islamic Republic this year, which began on February 28, Israeli forces participated in the American attacks—an action that was followed by Iran’s retaliation and the launch of hundreds of ballistic missiles at Israel. Israel, however, has not participated in the latest round of U.S. strikes against Iran, which has now lasted for 13 consecutive nights, and the Islamic Republic has also not carried out an attack on Israel.
