— The Pentagon has removed classified documents related to the “Secretary of Defense Orders Book” (Secretary of Defense Orders Book) from an internal SIPRNet portal.
These documents record the status of U.S. forces and weapons, and allow senior commanders to officially register their disagreement or differing views regarding the orders.
It has been reported that several senior officers warned that the ongoing war with Iran has placed heavy strain on U.S. forces, caused a reduction in important key ammunition stockpiles, and limited the U.S. Army’s ability to respond to threats in other parts of the world.
The Pentagon has rejected much of the report, but has not specified exactly which parts of the report were inaccurate.
