🔸The report, published on Friday, 2 Mordad, says that U.S. intelligence agencies believe Mojtaba Khamenei and more hardline officials who took control of the government after the killing of a number of senior leaders of the Islamic Republic in U.S. and Israeli attacks are seeking to develop the ability to build advanced nuclear weapons.

🔸As written by the New York Times, U.S. officials emphasized that most of the information related to Mojtaba Khamenei’s views dates back to before the war. He was severely wounded on the first day of the 40-day war, and since then no video or audio of him has been released.

🔸Based on this assessment, Mojtaba Khamenei continues to run the government, but he has not yet gained the full influence and absolute powers that his father had, who was the leader of the Islamic Republic for more than 36 years.
