🔻The Guardian reported that Christian Volpato, the Australia national team striker, after being stopped due to driving with an unauthorized speed in Sydney, tested positive for cocaine use in an initial drug test.

🔹The 22-year-old player was stopped by police early Friday morning while driving a BMW at 109 kilometers per hour in a 60-kilometer-per-hour zone on the Anzac Bridge. After conducting an on-the-road test, police sent his second saliva sample to a laboratory for further checks and announced that the investigation is still ongoing.

🔹According to this report, Volpato was fined for the driving violation and his international driving license was suspended for six months in the state of New South Wales. However, so far no criminal charges have been brought against him. Police also claim that about two hours before this incident, the player had been stopped for speeding on the same route, but his alcohol test at that time was negative.
