Sweden’s centre-left opposition has defeated the incumbent right-wing governing bloc by the narrowest of margins, public broadcaster SVT reported.
With 99% of votes counted, opposition parties led by Social Democratic leader Magdalena Andersson were projected to win 175 of the 349 seats in parliament, compared with 174 for the governing bloc.
The final result could still change as the remaining votes are counted.
