SpaceX launched a rocket carrying the Starship prototype on its thirteenth test flight, the company reported on its X account.

The rocket lifted off at 6:51 p.m. EDT (10:51 p.m. GMT on July 24) from the Starbase launch site in Texas. The company plans to deploy 20 Starlink V3 satellites from the spacecraft, six of which will monitor the prototype's heat shield. After the flight, the rocket will splash down in the Indian Ocean.

The launch was originally scheduled for July 16 but was canceled at the last minute.
