Rudaw media network announced that early on Friday, 26 Tir, several sounds of explosions were heard in the eastern provinces of Iraq’s Kurdistan region, some of which were related to Halabja and Sulaimaniyah. The outlet noted that the main source of the sounds is unclear, but local people associate them with drone attacks.

Rudaw also reported a fire in Zergoz, a town located in the southern part of Sulaimaniyah, describing the area as close to the camp of one of the Kurdish parties that opposes the Islamic Republic.

Some media sources affiliated with the Islamic Republic have also published images of a fire in northern Iraq and claimed that it took place at the headquarters of Kurdish parties opposed to the Islamic Republic.

Meanwhile, Rudaw’s media network reported that at least five missile and drone attacks were tracked and neutralized in the skies over Erbil, Iraq, early on Friday, 26 Tir.
