Mohammad Taghi Naqdali, MP for Khomeinīshahr, at a Majles session that was formed virtually due to concerns about U.S. and Israeli attacks, said, with criticism of the expansion of “public nudity and obscenity,” that the United States and Israel cannot bring down the Islamic Republic, but that this situation of hijab has fallen like a “maggot” on the “religious culture” and has consumed it. He called for enforcement of the mandatory hijab law.
