🔻 Mohammad Khakpour, the former captain of Iran’s national football team, expressed his support for Adel Ferdowsi-Pour in a text he shared on Instagram, writing: “The voice of truth may be reduced for a short time, but it can never be silenced. For millions of Iranians, Adel Ferdowsi-Pour is not just a commentator or presenter; he is a symbol of expertise, honesty, respect for the audience’s understanding, and fair criticism.”
🔹 Khakpour continued: “If a program is halted for any reason, questions do not stop. If a platform is closed, people find another platform. Trust is not something that can be erased by removing a program, or built by restricting a voice. Football grows when free criticism, transparency, and accountability are alongside it—not when critics are seen or heard less.”
🔹 The former national team captain wrote: “Supporting Adel Ferdowsi-Pour is not about supporting an individual; it is about supporting the right to ask questions, the right to criticize, and respect for the audience’s awareness. A society that tolerates caring criticism also has the capacity for correction and progress. Voices can be limited, but not thought. The death of thought—of people and of the pen—is impossible.”
