Mehdi Chamran, head of Tehran City Council, on the sidelines of a meeting of the council, about the news of the holding of government officials’ meetings at metro stations during wartime, said: “Of course, in wartime conditions, we should go to shelters. Maybe we go up to the rooftops and watch, but Netanyahu goes to shelters during the bombing.”

Chamran continued: “We must consider the infrastructure of metro stations in such a way that they can be used as shelters.”

Earlier, Mohsen Hashemi Rafsanjani, the former head of Tehran City Council, had said that during the “12-day and 40-day war,” some officials used metro stations as a place of work.
