🔸Lithuania’s President announced the downing of a drone over this country by NATO fighter jets. Denmark also said that a Russian warship fired two emergency flares toward a Danish helicopter.

🔸Gitanas Nausėda, Lithuania’s president, wrote on X on Tuesday, 24 Shahrivar, saying: “A drone that had entered Lithuania’s airspace moments earlier was destroyed by NATO fighter jets.”

🔸According to Lithuania’s national radio and television, the drone entered the country from Belarus and was moving westward.

🔸Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia—three NATO members that have long borders with Russia—have repeatedly reported violations of their airspace by drones since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine began in 2022.

🔸In another development, Danish officials said that a Russian warship fired two emergency flares toward a Danish helicopter in the Baltic Sea on Monday.

🔸Danish armed forces said that one of the flares passed by the helicopter from a very close distance.
