Jean-Noël Barrot, the French foreign minister, on Wednesday, 25 Shahrivar, on his X page, wrote on the fourth anniversary of the state killing of Mahsa Amini: “Four years ago, on such a day, Mahsa Amini was killed by the morality police of the Iranian government; at 22, because her hijab was deemed inappropriate and because of her desire for a free life.”
Barrot added that the death of Mahsa Amini echoed the cry of “Women, Life, Freedom” in Iran and around the world. He wrote: “The bloody repression of the Iranian government cannot silence this cry.”
The French foreign minister stressed: “France does not forget Mahsa Amini and stands alongside Iranian women and men who want justice and dignity.”
He added that Iranians should be able to decide freely about their future and that their fundamental rights must be respected.
