Israeli media reported that officials in this country do not consider the temporary pause in U.S. attacks on the Islamic Republic and Donald Trump’s renewed opportunity for negotiations as a sign of a change in Washington’s strategy, and they expect the failure of diplomacy to lead to an escalation of military operations.

Trump had instructed the military not to carry out an attack on Friday and Saturday, but at the same time the transfer of U.S. forces and equipment to Israel continued.

Israeli officials believe the chances of an agreement between Tehran and Washington are very low, and the Israeli army remains on standby.

Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to provide Trump with fresh information about the Islamic Republic’s military and nuclear program during a meeting on Tuesday.

At the same time, attacks by the Houthis on targets in Saudi Arabia and fighting in Yemen have increased concerns about the expansion of the war to the Red Sea.
