🔻Houthi military spokesperson takes responsibility for attack on two ships
Yahya Saree‘, the Houthi military spokesperson, announced that the group targeted two ships using drones and missiles.
He claimed that the ships were hit because they violated the naval blockade announced by the Houthis.
Saree‘ added that the Houthis will continue their naval operations and will continue to carry out what they described as the “blockade-for-blockade equation.”
These remarks came hours after the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said that at around 20:00 on Wednesday Greenwich Mean Time, an unidentified projectile struck a Saudi tanker about 130 kilometers from Al Shaqiq, Saudi Arabia.
According to the organization, the attack caused a fire on the ship but did not result in any casualties.
At the same time, images attributed to the incident were also released, showing a tanker burning and widespread flames on its deck.
