Hoshang Hassan Yari, a Middle East and military affairs expert, referring to attacks by Yemen’s government forces on Houthi positions and the intensification of fighting in recent days, said that these developments are an important change in the Yemen war, although at this stage they are not decisive.
He added that with the government forces becoming more active and with support from Saudi Arabia, the United States, and probably Israel, it can be expected that the attacks will continue and that the Houthis will be weakened.
Hassan Yari said that the approach of government forces toward coastal areas and the Bab al-Mandab could change the situation to the disadvantage of the Houthis and the Islamic Republic.
