Hamed Safary, head of crisis management in West Azerbaijan, said in an interview with the state news agency IRNA that one point in Piranshahr County was targeted in an attack.

The head of crisis management in West Azerbaijan said: “The attack took place at around 9 a.m. on Friday, the second of Mordad, and relief forces from the Red Crescent Society and the fire department were dispatched to the scene.”

Hamed Safary said that in this attack several vehicles were damaged and that, up to now, no figures are available regarding the number of the dead and injured.
