Germany is designing a broad package of measures to bolster its defenses against attacks by drones, cyber intrusion, and other forms of Russian sabotage.
The Bild am Sonntag newspaper reported on Sunday that the plan was drawn up after an unsuccessful attempt to carry out a drone attack on Leipzig/Halle Airport last month.
Alexander Dobrindt, Germany’s interior minister, told the newspaper the combined attacks by Russia have become part of everyday reality.
He added: “These attacks are increasing, but we can defend ourselves and protect ourselves.”
