France’s Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday, 30 Tir, that following the arrest of two employees of the French embassy in Tehran by Islamic Republic security forces and the physical assault of one of them, it summoned Iran’s chargé d’affaires in Paris.

In a statement, the ministry emphasized that France asks the officials of the Islamic Republic to provide clear explanations about this incident, punish those responsible, and ensure the security of diplomatic premises and French personnel in accordance with its international obligations.
