🔶 Federation of Exporters of Oil Products: Iran Has a Daily Shortfall of 20 Million Liters of Gasoline

Hamid Hosseini, spokesperson for the Federation of Exporters of Oil, Gas and Petrochemicals, told Iran Watch that Iran is currently facing a serious shortage of gasoline. According to him, the production capacity of the country’s refineries is at most about 110 million liters per day, while daily gasoline consumption has reached around 130 million liters; a gap that means a daily shortfall of nearly 20 million liters.

Hosseini said that in recent years part of the gasoline shortfall was compensated for through imports, but new regional and international conditions have also put this route under serious restrictions.

According to him, importing gasoline under current conditions has become very difficult and in some cases almost impossible, and other supply routes also no longer have the effectiveness they had in the past.
