The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has advised airlines to avoid flying in Jordan’s airspace, because this country has increasingly become a target of missiles and drones from the Islamic Republic.

In a statement, the agency said that since mid-month of the current Gregorian month, the security situation has rapidly deteriorated and that effective military activity affecting Jordan’s airspace has continued to increase.

The recommendation comes while the Jordanian army has repeatedly reported in recent days on the interception of missiles from the Islamic Republic; including four missiles fired toward this country’s soil, and two aircraft that landed in uninhabited areas.

The European Union Aviation Safety Agency had previously also advised companies to avoid the airspace of Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Iran, Iraq, and Lebanon.
