Donald Trump, President of the United States, said on Truth Social that if the Houthis attack the ships again, Washington would hold the Islamic Republic responsible. He added that the Houthis are forces affiliated with the Islamic Republic, and if these attacks are repeated, broad military punishment will be imposed against the Islamic Republic and the Houthis.

Trump also said that the Houthis behaved responsibly after the previous attacks by the United States against them during Washington’s conflict with Tehran, but now they have resumed attacks on the ships.
