🔻The bodies of four American servicemen who had been killed during Iran’s recent attacks on Jordan and northern Iraq were returned to Washington on Wednesday in an official ceremony attended by Donald Trump and other officials.
As the Pentagon reported, three of these servicemen were killed during Iran’s attacks on Jordan, and another was killed while disposing of explosive materials when an Iranian drone in northern Iraq failed to be neutralized.
Donald Trump has faced increased criticism over the past few days regarding the resumption of war with Iran.
On Wednesday, he tried to respond to his critics by putting together figures for the number of U.S. servicemen killed in wars in Vietnam, Korea, Iraq, Afghanistan, and even the country’s one-day attack on Venezuela, with 18 servicemen killed during the four-month war this country waged with Iran.
At the same time, the Pentagon has told U.S. media that nearly 100 U.S. servicemen were injured in Iran’s attacks within only the past two weeks.
