Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of Israel, said the Israeli army has “eliminated many armed individuals in Ali al-Tahir”; heights that are a strategic point in southern Lebanon and have underground infrastructure that is believed to be used by “Hezbollah” for military purposes.

The remarks were made after the Israeli army said it had completed the operation to “clear two Hezbollah underground infrastructure sites” in the Ali al-Tahir heights, and that its forces are currently working to neutralize them.
The Israeli army said these facilities were built over approximately 20 years and that Iran was responsible for financing and designing them. The army added that the forces of the 36th Division have been operating in the area over the past weeks and, according to its account, have been able to gain operational control of the heights both on the ground and underground.
