⚡Barak Ravid, a journalist at Axios, reported citing two U.S. officials that Iranian officials had pressured Ali Zaydi, Iraq’s prime minister, and his team to not carry out their first foreign trip in his role as prime minister to Washington. However, despite these pressures, Zaydi went on the trip. In addition to meeting with Donald Trump, the U.S. president, during this trip Mr. Zaydi also met and held talks with Pete Hegseth, the U.S. Secretary of Defense.
