As military tensions intensify in southern Iran, reports from human rights sources indicate the continuation of security confrontations with Arab citizens in Ahvaz.

The human rights organization Karun has reported that on Tuesday, 16 Tir 1405, security forces used violence and detained at least 18 Sunni Arab citizens in the “Kut Abdollah” area of Ahvaz.

According to this report, citing informed sources, most of those detained are teenagers and young people under 18 years of age who live in the “Khazami” area.
