👈 Al Mayadeen’s account of Trump’s pressure on Iraqi Kurdistan to wage war against Iran

A reporter from Al Mayadeen, who is present in Sulaimaniyah, reported that Washington is pressuring the leaders of Iraq’s Kurdistan region to directly enter a war against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Al Mayadeen also reported that the U.S. government has warned officials in Iraqi Kurdistan that if they do not enter a war with Iran, their current form of government (autonomy) will be revoked and changed.

Iran has also warned the leaders of Kurdistan about the start of such a war and emphasized that Erbil must consider the consequences of supporting anti-Iranian separatists.

The Al Mayadeen reporter also reported that Iran has warned the Kurdish leaders that any involvement in the war would be met with Iran’s direct response, and even ground operations in this region.
