Agnes Callamard, Secretary-General of Amnesty International, in an interview with Iran International, by referring to the systematic crackdown on civic protests in Iran, asked the member states of the United Nations General Assembly to act to implement justice in Iran by creating a people-centered mechanism.

She described the crackdown on popular protests as a “crime against humanity” and criticized the Security Council’s inaction in the face of it.
