A Houthi force expresses joy while next to a U.S.-made armored vehicle that has been seized from forces loyal to Tariq Saleh, the UAE-backed commander and nephew of Ali Abdullah Saleh, the late president of Yemen. This Houthi force says, “Saleh’s forces have fled, and the Houthis are now advancing toward the Bab al-Mandab area, the strategic strait at the entrance to the Red Sea.” These images, apparently released on Thursday and Friday, were published at the same time as the Houthis’ advance along Yemen’s western coast.
