SpaceX launched another batch of Starlink satellites on Monday, sending 23 spacecraft into orbit aboard a Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral. The mission lifted off at 10:44 UTC and added to the company’s expanding internet constellation.
The rocket’s first stage completed a controlled descent after separation and returned to a droneship stationed in the Atlantic Ocean. The recovery marks another successful reuse of the Falcon 9 booster, a key part of SpaceX’s effort to lower launch costs and increase flight frequency.
The latest launch is part of the company’s ongoing campaign to grow Starlink, which now serves as one of the largest satellite networks in operation. SpaceX has used the system to expand broadband access in remote and underserved areas, while also drawing scrutiny over congestion in orbit and the long-term sustainability of large satellite constellations.
The mission adds to a busy launch pace for SpaceX as it continues regular deployments for Starlink and other customers. The company has leaned heavily on booster reuse to keep up with demand and maintain a rapid cadence of missions.
