The UK ambassador in Tehran was summoned.
Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs statement:
Following the repeated allegations by officials of this country against Iran, the UK ambassador in Tehran was summoned by the Director-General for Western Europe at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Tehran’s official protest against him was conveyed.
Iran, while rejecting the claims by the UK that Tehran is seeking to carry out anti-security measures, said these allegations are baseless and stem from London’s deflection.
Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs also accused the UK of conspiring with the United States and Israel, playing a role in fomenting insecurity in the region, and hosting anti-Iranian networks, and called for an end to support for these groups and a change in London’s approach.
