🔶 Iranian media report that Hameyd island was targeted in an attack

Iranian government media on Wednesday, 24 Tir (July 15) reported an “American airstrike on Hameyd Island” in Hormozgan province.

News agencies including Fars, Mehr, and ILNA, citing local officials, said that around 6:00 p.m., a spot on the island was hit by a “projectile impact.”

The Hormozgan provincial governorate also confirmed the projectile impact on Hameyd Island and said that details of the incident would be announced after initial assessments are carried out.

At the same time, reports were published about hearing an explosion on Qeshm Island as well, but Mehr News Agency wrote that initial checks indicate that no projectile hit that island.
