🔶 An Indian citizen has gone missing after an attack on a ship near Oman

India’s Ministry of External Affairs announced that an Indian citizen was reported missing after an attack on the commercial vessel “J.A.F. Galaxy” near the coasts of Oman on Sunday, July 12.

The ministry, condemning the attack, said: “Of the 11 Indian nationals present on this ship, 10 have been rescued so far, and according to reports one Indian citizen is missing.”

The Ministry of External Affairs added that the embassy of India in Oman is closely monitoring the situation and coordinating with Omani authorities in the ongoing search and rescue operations.

Previously, the Islamic Republic had said it fired a warning shot that hit a vessel traveling on a route it had not confirmed.
