🔶 Al Arabiya: Iran–U.S. talks resume on July 11 According to Al Arabiya, Iran–U.S. talks are set to resume on July 11. As this Saudi media outlet wrote, the talks will be held after the end of the several-day funeral procession for Ali Khamenei, and the main axes of the talks will include Tehran’s sanctions, Iran’s frozen assets, and also the nuclear file. Iran and the United States last held technical indirect talks in Doha on Wednesday. Donald Trump, the U.S. president, had described those talks as “very good.” Based on Iran’s position, the two sides in Doha reached an agreement regarding the release of part of the billions of dollars in Iran’s frozen assets. However, U.S. officials have reported that such an agreement was not reached. The talks are continuing while Iran and the United States two weeks ago signed a memorandum of understanding under which the two sides are given 60 days to negotiate in order to reach a final agreement on Iran’s nuclear program.
