🔻Zolghadr: The Strait of Hormuz will not be reopened until “Trump and Netanyahu are brought down”

Mohammad-Bagher Zolghadr, a political adviser to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic, said that Iran will not reopen the Strait of Hormuz as long as Donald Trump, the U.S. president, and Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of Israel, have not been “brought down from the seat of power.”

In remarks referring to about 200 days of conflict, he said that Iran will continue to confront the United States and Israel, and described the closure of the Strait of Hormuz as the “first stage of Iran’s people’s revenge.”

Zolghadr also referred to the dead in attacks on Minab and Larestan, as well as a number of Iran’s military personnel, and said that Iran intends to take “revenge” for them.

The remarks are being made while the Strait of Hormuz has, in recent months, been one of the main focal points of tensions between Iran and the United States.
