🔶 Vance: We won’t negotiate as long as Iran does not stop attacks on ships
JD Vance, the vice president of the United States, emphasized that Iran must stop firing at ships in the Strait of Hormuz, and said that all options against this country—including economic, military, diplomatic, and security pressure—are on the table.
According to Reuters, at a press briefing at the White House on Thursday, September 3 (12 Shahrivar), he told reporters about peace talks with the Islamic Republic that Donald Trump, the U.S. president, has been very clear: “We are not going to negotiate with them, and we will not negotiate with them until they stop firing at commercial ships.”
He also said he does not describe the current situation as a “war,” but stressed that the United States will respond to any hostile action by Iran.
