🔺 US talks with Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon and Israel amid rising tensions with the Islamic Republic

▪ While exchanges of fire between the United States and the Islamic Republic continue, Washington is pursuing intensive diplomatic efforts to shape the regional situation.

▪ On Tuesday, Donald Trump will meet with Iraq’s new prime minister, and the Islamic Republic is likely to be raised in this meeting.

▪ At the same time in Rome, two-day talks sponsored by the United States between Israel and Lebanon are set to begin, focusing on a pilot program to deploy the Lebanese army to areas cleared by the Israeli army.

▪ The U.S. secretary of state will also meet in Washington with Jordan’s foreign minister. During the past week, Jordan has repeatedly been targeted by missile attacks from the Islamic Republic.
