The UK Maritime Trade Operations Centre said on Wednesday, 18 Shahrivar, that it had received a report about an attack on a vessel 24 nautical miles northwest of the port of Rashid in Dubai.

According to the report, the captain of an oil tanker observed a vessel in the area of anchoring leaning to one side; a situation that may be caused by water entering the vessel after it was hit by an unidentified projectile.

The UK Maritime Trade Operations Centre said the authorities are investigating the incident and asked vessels to use caution when passing through the area and to report any suspicious activity.
