U.S. Ambassador to NATO, Matthew Whitaker:

Russia is currently bogged down in Ukraine. They can’t make progress on the front, and therefore their threat to NATO in the short term is low.

However, those aggressive actions, that attack on Ukraine, and the prior annexation of Crimea lead us to believe that Russia is unpredictable and may be willing to take actions against a NATO member country.
