The Times of Israel reported that Benjamin Netanyahu, at a security meeting with Yair Lapid, the leader of the opposition to the Israeli government, asked for his support in returning the budget bill to the agenda in order to increase defense resources. Lapid agreed to increase the army’s budget, but said this cost should not be covered through raising taxes on the middle class or on reservists.
