قالیباف warned America against attacking American oil and gas companies in the region

🔸 Mohammad-Bagher Qalibaf, the chairman of the Islamic Consultative Assembly and Iran’s negotiating delegation with the United States, warned the United States that it would attack American oil and gas companies in the region.

🔸 On Monday, 16 Shahrivar, he wrote on X: “The matter is simple: the oil and gas production chain here is extensive, within reach, and vulnerable. American oil and gas companies across these areas and facilities are exposed to the same level of danger.”

🔸 Qalibaf added: “If you attack our facilities, we will target you as well. We have proven this before. Ask the bases that are no longer usable.” These threats come after warnings by Pete Hegseth, the U.S. defense secretary, to Iranian officials about an attack on American ships.

🔸 Hegseth had warned Iran: “The matter is simple: if Iran fires at American ships, we will destroy and sink their tankers. All they have to do is not fire at the U.S. Navy.” Qalibaf also wrote and published his tweet based on the structure of Hegseth’s tweet.

🔸 On Saturday, 14 Shahrivar, CENTCOM reported that in response to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps firing ballistic missiles at two American warships, it targeted three Iranian tankers near Kharg, Jask, and in the Sea of Oman.

🔸 These verbal and on-the-ground clashes are taking place after the increase in U.S. economic pressure on the Islamic Republic, with the start of the new campaign by the United States called “Economic Expulsion from Iran,” which aims to cut off the vital arteries of the economy of the Islamic Republic.
