The Washington Post, citing a U.S. official, reported that the Trump administration is preparing the sale of 40,000 two-thousand-pound bombs to Israel worth $2.8 billion, and that this is the largest one-time sale of this type of munitions to Israel in recent years.

The Washington Post wrote that the $2.8 billion U.S. weapons package for Israel includes 20,000 “MK-84” bombs, 20,000 “BLU-117” bombs, and 20,000 penetrator warheads “I-2000.”
