The professional council of faculty members of Shiraz University, in a statement, announced the general suspension of all educational, research, and executive activities of this university from Saturday, 28 Shahrivar, until further notice.

According to the professional council of faculty members of Shiraz University, this decision was taken following repeated follow-ups regarding rulings and the legal rights of faculty members, and because the related problems have not been resolved.

The council stated that the Planning and Budget Organization has no provision for resolving these issues, and that the suspension of activities is carried out based on the resolution of the general meeting in the month of Khordad.

The professional council of Shiraz University has also announced its support for the statement of the Iranian university professors’ professional association regarding the suspension of university activities from the beginning of the new term, and has asked the university’s board of trustees to remain committed to previous understandings.
