The Pentagon has acknowledged that Iran inflicted serious damage on US 5th Fleet facilities in Bahrain, with the Acting Navy Secretary Hung Cao saying strikes "blew the hell out of Bahrain."

According to him, the damage left the USS Abraham Lincoln's crew "no place to pull in."

The Navy is now considering whether to rebuild the destroyed bases.
