Mohammadreza Mojidi Asl, a mobile phone repair technician in Tehran, was arrested on the evening of Dey 19, 1404 (January 9, 2026) along with his wife, #Bita_Hamti, and several of his neighbors on Sheikh Hadi Street in #Tehran. His case was reviewed in Branch 26 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court, presided over by Eiman Afshari, and, based on alleged fabricated and false political accusations, an unjust death sentence, five years’ imprisonment, and confiscation of property was issued for him. Although the Supreme Court had previously overturned this verdict, according to the latest reports from people close to the case, Branch 9 of the Supreme Court has now rejected his appeal—an horrifying decision that has placed Mohammadreza on the threshold of the serious execution of his death sentence. His family and close associates are in intense worry and anxiety and are awaiting the community’s voice of justice to save his life.
